Daily Journal 2/4/26

As predicted, the universe did indeed have other plans, and instead of sitting undisturbed in West Virginia and finishing those two stories, I responded to 500 bazillion text messages and phone calls and emails, the vast majority of which could have been answered with a simple Google search.

Anyway, back home now. Today i intend to turn my fucking phone off completely. I don’t like doing that, because what if a family member has an emergency? But there never seem to be family emergencies. Just the emergencies of my peers and other people in this business.
