Spent Friday and Saturday on the set of DEAD FORMAT, and was there for an hour today. This segment wraps tonight, and then we’ll resume in a week or two. Things are going very well, and the footage looks fantastic. My only concern is that our director — who I know is reading this — needs to get some sleep.

“You hear that, Lombardo? GO TO FUCKING SLEEP TONIGHT!” Brian yelled with love.

Here’s my plan for the week ahead:

Monday: Sign and mail a contract, and mail some Vortex shipments. Drive to West Virginia early, and unload a truckload of stuff (mostly things from Vortex I didn’t sell like the bar and the comic book spinner racks) into my storage unit down there. Visit with Grandma. Then either drive home tomorrow night or get a hotel and leave early Tuesday. During the drive, I intend to record an episode of KEENEVERSATIONS and also mull over short story “Forty Miles West of Sidewinder, Right Next Door to Hell”.

Tuesday: If I didn’t drive home Monday night, then drive home Tuesday morning. If I am already home, work on short story “In the Dark”.

Wednesday: Finish “In The Dark” first draft. Work on Operation: Little Golden Book.

Thursday: Edit and revise “In the Dark” and then send it to the editor. Return back to work on “Forty Miles West of Sidewinder, Right Next Door to Hell”.

Friday: Work on “Forty Miles West of Sidewinder, Right Next Door to Hell”. Drive Mary to new Jersey so we can spent a belated birthday weekend with her folks.

Saturday: Work on “Forty Miles West of Sidewinder, Right Next Door to Hell” at Mary’s parent’s house.

Sunday: Drive back home. Finish first draft of “Forty Miles West of Sidewinder, Right Next Door to Hell”.

So, we’ll see how that goes. As always, the universe could decide to blow this schedule up at any time.
