Moral Decisions Redux

Regarding THIS… Some people have gotten the misconception that I’m coming down on John Little, John Urbancik, Gene O’Neill, and anyone else who signed a contract before all of this blew up. The people who have that misconception are pinheads.

John Urbancik is one of the closest friends I’ve ever had. Gene O’Neill is like an uncle to me. And John Little is an amazing writer whose work deserves to be read.

And that’s exactly why I stated, very clearly, that the publisher should issue a public apology to everyone who was offended by his words — even if only for the benefit of the authors in his stable. The authors who signed with him before all of this happened do not deserve to be put in this position. By all accounts, John Urbancik’s next title (which was contracted many, many months ago) is his best work to date. The book deserves to be read. And the publisher could begin to heal that breach by simply doing the right thing. It is my opinion that, even if the publisher isn’t sorry, or doesn’t think he’s done anything to warrant the public outcry, he could at least bite the bullet and apologize to the public for the benefit of his authors.

It is also my opinion that if he’s unwilling or unable to do that, then maybe he should consider letting them out of their contracts, so that they can shop their books elsewhere. And that would open up slots for the authors who don’t give a shit about any of this, and just want to get published.

MOAR BURN BRIAN KEENE AT THE STAKE FOR SAYING THINGS THAT HE’s NOT SAYING MOAR MOAR MOAR!

But seriously though, if people are stupid enough to not read what you post, that’s their problem. Personally, I’d rather burn you at the stake than read you. XD

Of course, you know I wouldn’t, lol. Dead Sea was too awesome to burn you at the stake.

The only time anyone ever changes their tune overnight is when something, (i.e., their WALLET) is in mortal danger and hence, I would never believe any apology from him would be genuine, therefore, BMB will NEVER see a dime of my money. Not in this lifetime.
