Is Scratch based on the character from Earthworm Gods: Selected Scenes from the End of the World where the island moves? It was supposed to be some Godzilla-like creature and the notes in the back said that you may write about it again. Is that the monster?
Nope, Scratch is based on a Central PA legend of a giant serpent (sighting dates back to pre-Civil War and the most recent was last year).
But I will use that monster again…
