Journal 11/26/25
Heading to New Jersey tonight, to join Mary and my stepdaughter and the rest of that side of the family for Thanksgiving. Then Friday evening I’m heading back to Pennsylvania. Saturday morning I’m leaving for Williamsburg, Virginia to meet up with Red Lagoe and do some stuff at the Scares That Care hotel. My ex-wife will be riding shotgun so that she can visit with my grandma, so we’ll drive from Williamsburg to West Virginia on Sunday and spend the day with grandma. And then it’s back home to Pennsylvania again on Monday.

My back is better, in that I don’t scream in agony every time I stand up, so I’ve got that going for me. I figured out that among the many bells and whistles in Red Sonja that I still haven’t played with, one of them is a Lumbar support that, when pressed, adjusts the center lower half of the driver’s seat into this little fist that presses directly into your lower back/tailbone. When using that in conjunction with the heated seats?
Absolute bliss.
Not much writing done Monday or Tuesday, unfortunately. Most of the days have been spent reconfiguring Vortex’s physical store to make room for clearance tables in both the book and comics sections. And an even bigger allotment of the days have been spent at our new warehouse, taking inventory and then listing that inventory on the new online store.
Click here to check it out. Hundreds of items already in stock — new books, rare books, signed books, new comics, vintage comics, graphic novels, audiobooks, Blu-rays and much more. With thousands more items to come!

And speaking of book sales, Wesley Southard is done with signings and conventions for the year, and still has some limited stock left over, which he’s selling for $10 a book, plus $5 flat shipping anywhere in the US. (International shipping available, as well). Visit his store to check out the remaining inventory.

The only social platform the Squarespace sharing widget works with anymore is Tumblr. Which means that if I want to promote this Blog I have to copy and paste the link on each social media platform. Yesterday, I decided to experiment with not doing that at all and just see how many visitors came here of their own accord. Doing the same thing today. So hello to those folks reading this from Tumblr.
