Dead Format Update

Last night’s wrap marks the end of phase 1 of filming for DEAD FORMAT. We have some second unit scenes to film with actor Chet Williamson in November, but after that, we’ll be on hiatus until January 2nd. But hiatus doesn’t mean we stop working on the movie. It just means we won’t be shooting new footage. There will be a lot going on behind the scenes, editing-wise, and prep-wise, and we’ll be getting ready for phase 2 so that we can hit the ground running again in January.

This cast and crew are genuinely some of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Everyone has brought their A Game to every shoot. Everyone has been a professional. Everyone believes in the project and in Mike. It really has been a special, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Very different energy than any other film set I’ve worked on or visited.

I have completed the vast bulk of the Brian Keene Walking Tours. I know that Jennifer D and Michael C will be taken care of in 2026. There are still three of you whom we’ve been unable to connect with as far as scheduling a date.
