Daily Journal 2/26/26

The Women’s Writing Symposium is running so smoothly that I was able to hide out in my room last night with some bourbon and watch Survivor 50, which did not disappoint. Talk about gut punch after fist bump after gut punch. What a rollercoaster. Without spoilers, I’m enraged by the first vote, I’m bummed about the evac, and that moment between Colby and Rizzo genuinely moved me. Should be a great season.

(Mary was at the hotel bar with the rest of the girls and apparently told them that I know Survivor like other men know NFL, complete with quoting player stats, etc. i am not ashamed of this. Survivor is a much less expensive fandom than football).

AuthorCon operations begin today. I’ve been up since 5am. have already had a team meeting, and made sure Wrath got here safe and sound. The days will grow increasingly busier for me now, so this will probably be the last update till next week. No newsletter this Sunday either.
