Daily Journal 2/23/26

Been a minute, but that brief hiatus paid off, work-wise. Going to let the story sit for another day or two and then give it one last, quick, final pass but pretty much it’s ready to be turned in to the editor. I think (hope) it will appeal to both my readers and readers of The Shining and Stephen King in general.

This week will be spent working on Scares That Care only, since both the Women's Symposium and AuthorCon VI take place this week. Today will be spent loading up the truck and getting our house-sitter / cat-sitter set up and supplied. Tomorrow will be spent driving. Tomorrow afternoon and evening will be spent setting up the Symposium. Wednesday and Thursday will be spent setting up for AuthorCon VI while the Symposium is running. And then the weekend will be spent doing AuthorCon, obviously.

Was supposed to travel to either New York or Philly next week (March) for business, but looks like that has been delayed now, which is a relief, because I wasn’t looking forward to back-to-back jaunts.

Yesterday’s newsletter went out like always. If you missed it in your inbox, you can read it here.

This got announced last week.

Haven’t written my story for it yet (I have time), but got a pretty good idea over the weekend. Too early to say for sure, but it may be a Levi Stoltzfus story.
