Good morning. Today is Mary’s official birthday. I say official, because we’ve been celebrating for a full week leading up to it, with multiple presents and cards. And we’ll celebrate again today with more.

If you, too, would like to celebrate, why not purchase one of her books or comic books from Vortex and have her sign it for you? As you can see when you click that link, we’ve got plenty of them in stock.

Got word that THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT: NEW TALES OF STEPHEN KING’S THE STAND made the preliminary ballot for the 2026 Bram Stoker Awards, and is a finalist for the 2026 Audies. Thanks to everyone involved. If you’ve not yet read the book, it’s available here.

My 17-year old and I continued chipping away at his and his mother’s driveway yesterday. I gotta tell you… I normally don’t feel my age. When I picture myself, I’m still in my thirties or forties (and when I’m in that mindset, catching myself in the mirror is always a rude surprise). But I fell it during snow-shoveling. I think I’m in decent shape for my age — working out and eating right — until I shovel snow for two days straight, which makes me feel like I’m about to turn 80.

Hoping he and I can get it finished today. Writing is starting to back up again, and I really need to get back to that. Also, there’s potentially a new storm coming this weekend. We’re on set for DEAD FORMAT this weekend, as well, with much of our cast and crew traveling from New York City and Deleware, so we are currently white-knuckled to see where we’ll be at with that.
