BD0PMuZCYAE0u4CTo the left, me signing a customer at Comix Connection’s 25th Anniversary party, which you can read about HERE.

Okay, so the next seven days or so will be one of those weeks when my head is buried in work. With that in mind, here are some important updates and news items on various things.

1. My new comic, Masters of the Universe: The Origin of Hordak, is up for pre-order here.

2. There are still a few copies of the collectible edition of The Damned Highway left in stock. Buy one here.

4. If you’re an author or publisher looking for someone affordable but professional to do e-book design, Robert Swartwood is accepting a limited number of jobs. Rob designs all of my self-published Kindle, Nook, and Kobo editions. I recommend him highly. For details, click here.

NEW PODCAST with me, J.F. Gonzalez, and Robert Swartwood.

Back onto THE DAMNED HIGHWAY

At long last, THE DAMNED HIGHWAY, a novel I co-wrote with Nick Mamatas that can best be described as “Hunter S. Thompson fights Cthulhu”, is available for Kindle readers. Previously, it was (and still is) available in paperback, Nook, and Kobo.  Now, it’s available on Kindle, too.

Also, a special limited edition hardcover with extra material will be announced later this month from Thunderstorm Books.

And don’t miss Nick and I live and in person at KGB in New York City, Wednesday, January 16th!

UPDATEPALOOZA: Digitial & Print, Books & Comics

1. Deadite Press tells me that digital editions of Dark Hollow, Entombed, An Occurrence In Crazy Bear Valley, Ghost Walk, and Clickers vs. Zombies will be available “in time for Christmas”. All of them are currently available in paperback. For more information, click here.

2. The new Deadite editions of Earthworm Gods (previously published as The Conqueror Worms) and Earthworm Gods: Selected Scenes From the End of the World are off to the printer. Look for the paperbacks to go on sale in the next week or two.

3. 2013 will see Deadite switching to a new quarterly printing schedule. My official release schedule with them for next year is as follows:

Earthworm Gods II: Deluge – March – paperback and digital
The Rising and City of the Dead – June – paperback and digital
The Rising: Selected Scenes From the End of the World – September – paperback and digital
Suburban Gothic – December – paperback and digital

4. Antarctic Press’s High Plains Clickers comic series (written by myself and J.F. Gonzalez) should be out the second half of next year.

5. Thunderstorm Books’ limited collector’s edition of The Damned Highway will feature new material not available in the paperback, Nook or Kobo editions, including How Long, Oh Lord, How Long: Hunter S. Thompson and Horror by myself and Tainted Blood: H. P. Lovecraft’s Racism and Writing Lovecraftian Fiction Today by Nick Mamatas.

6. If you have questions about any other work in progress, I probably answered them here.

Back on THE DAMNED HIGHWAY

This is Gak’s cover to the forthcoming limited edition hardcover of The Damned Highway. It might also be my next tattoo. The Damned Highway (a novel I co-wrote with Nick Mamatas) is currently available in paperback and digital for Nook and Kobo.

Early next year, Thunderstorm Books will release a signed limited edition version of The Damned Highway which will include bonus material such as an essay by myself on Hunter S. Thompson and horror, and an essay by Nick on H.P. Lovecraft and politics. It’s not up for pre-order yet. This is just a teaser, so you can go “Wow” at that cover.

Rockets, Whiskey, and Zombies (Weekend Report)

(Image to the left courtesy of Nick Roberts)

This weekend, I finished up the final draft of a story for Cemetery Dance (called “Musings”) and completed plotting out the last two story-arcs for The Last Zombie.

I’ve got mixed feelings about the comic coming to an end. There is sadness that it’s almost over, but I’m also eager to write these final two installments. Titled The Last Zombie: Eat the Rich and The Last Zombie: The End, they have been a delight to plot. I’m ecstatic about the twists and surprises in store. You’re going to dig them. Continue reading
