Okay, so the next seven days or so will be one of those weeks when my head is buried in work. With that in mind, here are some important updates and news items on various things.

1. My new comic, Masters of the Universe: The Origin of Hordak, is up for pre-order here.

2. There are still a few copies of the collectible edition of The Damned Highway left in stock. Buy one here.

3. The deadline for professional manuscript reviews is approaching. Details here.

4. If you’re an author or publisher looking for someone affordable but professional to do e-book design, Robert Swartwood is accepting a limited number of jobs. Rob designs all of my self-published Kindle, Nook, and Kobo editions. I recommend him highly. For details, click here.

KGB! NYC!

Thanks so much to everyone who braved the rain, Captain Trips and crosstown traffic to come see Nick Mamatas and I at KGB last night. The venue was packed, giving new meaning to standing room only as it spilled out to the bathrooms and people used the laps of complete strangers as seats. Nick read a brand new short story called “Slice of Life”. I read a brand new short story called “Fetish”. We signed a lot of books, talked with a lot of people, and had an outstanding time.

Next Saturday, January 26, I’ll be speaking at Borderlands Boot Camp in Towson, Maryland.

NEW YORK CITY – One Night Only

This Wednesday, January 16th, join me and Nick Mamatas at 7pm for an appearance at the KGB Bar 85 East 4th Street (just off 2nd Ave) New York, NY 10003. For complete details on the venue, click here.

I’ll be unveiling a brand new short story called “Fetish”. Or maybe another brand new short story called “Musings”. In truth, I’m not sure which one I’ll be reading yet. I’ll probably let the crowd decide. I’ll also be on hand to drink, and I’m always happy to sign any books you bring along to the event. This appearance is expected to be standing room only, so it is recommended that you get there early.

Back onto THE DAMNED HIGHWAY

At long last, THE DAMNED HIGHWAY, a novel I co-wrote with Nick Mamatas that can best be described as “Hunter S. Thompson fights Cthulhu”, is available for Kindle readers. Previously, it was (and still is) available in paperback, Nook, and Kobo.  Now, it’s available on Kindle, too.

Also, a special limited edition hardcover with extra material will be announced later this month from Thunderstorm Books.

And don’t miss Nick and I live and in person at KGB in New York City, Wednesday, January 16th!
