SCARES THAT CARE is a 501C IRS approved charity. Each year, we raise money for children with cancer, burn victims, women battling breast cancer, and other worthy causes. One of the many ways we do that is via the annual SCARES THAT CARE CHARITY EVENT — a fan convention where you can meet your favorite horror writers and actors. This year’s convention, our third, takes place July 22 – 24 at the Doubletree Hilton in Williamsburg, VA. The hotel is sold out, but you can CLICK HERE FOR A LIST OF OTHER NEARBY HOTELS.

Here’s a small sample of the writers, actors, and actresses you can meet at this year’s event.

And And there are many more! Get your picture taken with The X-Files’s Cigarette Smoking Man! Get your books signed by Joe R. Lansdale! Meet old friends and make new ones! And while you’re doing all that, you’ll be supporting a charity and helping three families who desperately need it.

As I said, the hotel is sold out but there are many nearby hotels who still have vacancies. Don’t let that stop you from attending 2016’s most-anticipated horror convention. Make your plans now!

  1. I wish I was a man that is well off. Then it would be no trouble to say I’ll be there. However, I am not well off…do these events ever hit the west coast?
