2016 Scribe Award Nomination

I’m very happy to have received word that my X-Files story, “Non Gratum Anus Rodentum” (which you can purchase here), has been nominated by The International Association of Media Tie-In Writers for a 2016 Scribe Award in the Short Stories category. You can see all the nominees here.

I’ve written my share of media tie-in fiction over the years — everything from Phantasm to Hellboy to Doctor Who (and forthcoming stuff like Aliens and George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead), but The X-Files has always been a personal favorite of mine. It was an honor to contribute to that universe and its mythology. It’s an even bigger honor to have that work recognized in this manner. Thank you to all involved.

    1. Joshua — Unfortunately, the rights have expired and I no longer have them. Both Phantasm stories appeared in an anthology and were then reprinted in an old collection of mine called NO REST AT ALL (out of print but available to find on eBay). I’ll warn you though, these two Phantasm stories were late-90s. Very rough.

  1. Gonna grab a copy of that! I keep seeing it floating around and it’s time I got it. I’m also a fan of the files. The last few seasons of the first run kind of went down hill but I still liked it. Haven’t Vaught any new episodes because I’m cableless….but I’ll just by the whole thing when it comes out. Anywho, I’ll start with yer book and want to believe again….
