Thanks for the Christmas sale. Among the bargains I snatched up Scratch. While that story was ok it didn’t grab me, as always the writing was excellent but somehow the story of scratch just didn’t gel with me then I read Halves.
Jesus that short story was creepy and freaking disturbing. Sorry but any story with a character called Mr Chickbaum is not going to mess with your head. I get the feeling that Hannibal was the hero. he saved not only the family but quite possibly mankind. As I type this I cannot get the image of the door in the field out of my head!!!!!
Once I get home it’s back to A Gathering Of Crows to check out the connection no matter if its just a few words.
Its amazing and a testament to your writing ability and date I say it effed up mind that you can create such a reaction from a short story.
