The Devil’s Rock director Paul Campion’s adaptation of US horror author Brian Keene’s novel Dark Hollow has been picked up for world sales by Raven Banner Entertainment. Shane Rangi (Spartacus, Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings) is attached to play the satyr Hylinus, with Weta Workshop in New Zealand attached to create the special makeup effects.

Sweet trailer. This looks wicked cool. Can’t wait to see it.
This looks AMAZING! I can’t wait to see this one in theaters (crossing my fingers hehe)… too cool! This is one of my favorite novels from you, Brian — badass!
Looks fabulous. I’ll eagerly await any cryptic hints you may drop in the future concerning who might play Adam…
Yes!
Dark Hollow might be my favorite novel of yours. I’ll never forget hearing you read from it at World Horror in 2006. Looks like it’ll make one hell of a movie. Can’t wait.
Now that is fuckin’ wicked pissah. Also one of my favorite novels, too.
Absolutely can’t wait for this one.
Great Trailer!
Cant wait to see it!!

After Chillers lackluster Ghoul I am not getting too over enthusiastic about this movie. With that said as a fan of Brian’s writing any opportunity to get his books out to a wider audience should be welcomed and it has to be exciting for Brian to see his words come to life on the big screen. I do hope this movie is a true horror movie. Brian’s novels and the man himself deserves to be a success in every medium.
Dark Hollow is, in my opinion, Keene’s most powerful book. It was wrought with despair and a sense of helplessness that I had no choice but to be affected by. Without a doubt, this is my favorite Keene novel, and I’m excited to see it come to the big screen. I just hope the director and screen writer go the distance and really show how destroyed Keene leaves Adam, and all of the events that lead up to it.
