Kayla and the Devil

Finished this latest from Bryan Smith and had to rave about it. Kayla and the Devil reads like a collaboration between Richard Laymon, Neil Gaiman, and Charlaine Harris, and is as delightfully bizarre as that mash-up sounds. A wonderful female protagonist. Pitch-black humor. Jack the Ripper. Elizabeth Bathory. BUY IT!

Paperback – $12

I sent Bryan a note when I finished this very entertaining novel. Yeah I was really impressed with this book too. In fact I’ve been impressed with everything Bryan has published thus far. Can’t wait for the sequel. Nothing has been officially announced yet to my knowedge .

I need to read this one, too. I haven’t met a Bryan Smith novel yet that I didn’t like. I saw just enough to pique my interest while formatting the paperback version for him. You’d think I’d have read it by now, huh? *headdesk*
