For several years, I taught an eight-week course at York College on how to write and publish a novel. When time constraints made teaching that course difficult to continue, I condensed the material down to a 4-hour session and taught it as a seminar at World Horror 2011. Since then, I’ve been missing teaching, because it’s something I really enjoyed.
Well, I’m happy and honored to announce that I’ve been added as an instructor for next year’s Borderlands Boot Camp, to be held January 25th – 27th in Towson, Maryland. For complete details on pricing, accommodations, tuition, and how to qualify, click here. Payment plans are available. Workshop space is limited. I hope to see you there!

Oh! To be there would be great! Has any thought been given to offering on online boot camp/classes online?
Francis: You’d have to email them and ask. I don’t know, to be honest.
Can’t say enough how awesome this experience is. Attended twice, and I wasn’t the same, changed for the better. Definitely a “next-level” experience.
I submitted a sample.
Brian, sorry for pestering you with stupid questions, but are the short story and novel classes combined into one class…in a sense that first the participant will do short story work and then move on to novels. Or is it more along the lines of, say, at a certain hour the short story participants attend the short story class and the novel writers attend the novel class? Or should I stop pestering you with this and just email bootcamp LOL? Thanks in advance
I attended Borderlands in 2006 and studied under Tom Monteleone, F. Paul Wilson, Douglas Clegg, and Thomas Tessier. It was without a doubt one of the best experiences of my writing life. It’s one hell of a workshop.
Shadowtron: I honestly don’t know. So yeah, ask them.
