About 15 years ago, when my generation of authors were first trying to make it in this genre, one among our ranks, Ryan Harding, was heralded by many as our generation’s Edward Lee. Then Ryan surprised everyone by going off to play black metal instead.
Well, he’s back now, and Deadite Press has got him.

I wish there were a film of Ryan reading Genital Grinder. It’s a great story. When he did it for first time he’d get a small smile when the audience tittered nervously. It’d grow when they moaned or made noises of disgust. I loved. it.
Named after a Carcass song? Sold!
What band was he in? Anyone I might’ve heard of?
Ryan has been connected to two bands as far as I know. They are Elders of the Apocalypse and Your Kid’s On Fire. Elders of the Apocalypse is along the lines of Blasphemy, Bestial Warlust, and old German thrash. YKOF is unrelenting goregrind.
The only way I have been able to find Your Kid’s On Fire on YouTube was to search for them using the acronym YKOF. They can also be found on Facebook.
Yep, those are the two: YKOF (which have had cameo mentions in a few of my stories) and Elders of the Apocalypse.
