SNOW BOUND (in which books are sold, old friends reunite, lovers reconcile, and our anti-hero walks the red carpet with the ghosts of fashions past)

As you know, the movie version of Ghoul premieres in Utah this weekend, so I’ll be heading out to visit Sundance and Slamdance for the weekend. Accompanying me will be long-time friends and fellow authors Mike Oliveri and Michael T. Huyck, long-time friends and pre-readers Tod Clark and Mark ‘Dezm’ Sylva, and my lovely partner Mary SanGiovanni (yes, for those without access to a score card or Twitter, Mary and I worked things out, and that’s all you, the public, really need to know). If you would like to join us at the premiere and have me sign things for you and maybe buy you a drink. click here for full details. Obviously, I’d be remiss not to mention that the paperback and audio book editions of Ghoul are on sale now. Click here to get them. Kindle and Nook editions are forthcoming. It should also be noted that there are less than 50 copies of Clickers vs. Zombies left. Click here to get one of those. And less than 200 copies of Is There A Demon In You left. Click here to get one of those before they are gone.

I’ll be posting pictures from the premiere on Twitter. If you don’t have Twitter, you can also view the pics here. Wish me luck. Mary is wearing a black dress. Oliveri is wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I’m not sure what to wear, and am tempted to reprise my drag phase or Miami Vice look. For new readers who have not had the opportunity to bear witness to those:

The first book of yours that I read was Ghoul and I was hooked…I now have all three of my sisters addicted as well. :) You rate up there with Dean Koontz and Stephen King and in my opinion better than…keep up the good work..Love your books can’t wait for a new one! <3

That which has been seen cannot be unseen.

Nothing personal Brian, but you are the absolute WORST drag queen that I’ve ever seen.

Hey, just glad to hear that you and Mary worked things out. And you are right, that is all us, the public needs to know. Especially since too many people are too willing to give strangers the intimate details of their lives these days. May you both keep writing and being together for a long time to come!

Been away from checking up on the site for a while so I have made it my homepage to make sure it does not happen again. Happy about the premiere of Ghoul and I can’t wait until it shows up on Chiller TV, I will be picking up a copy of Ghoul of course:D. Glad things seem to be going good for you at the moment, have fun at the premiere wish I could make it.

Enjoy the red carpet. Let us know if the carpet matches the drapes. Sounds like good times are ahead for you in 2012. (deservedly) On the fashion front, I vote Miami Vice, because most of your hair is concentrated in all the wrong places for that dress. Any dress, for that matter.

I must say: It sure feels intimidating commenting on threads that real writers ALSO comment on. That’s probably why I felt the need to talk about my work, at least in terms of what I do.
Leaving a comment right below a professional writer just feels intimidating, almost like performing my duties in front of a supervisor. I’m afraid I’ll say something lame, or my grammar will look lame, or something

If I WEREN’T working all weekend long, I think I’d have gone to Utah, but we do rotations of working on the weekend, and it came back around to my turn.
I’ll be thinking of it though.

Ok. Now that others have said it, I am also going to say that I’m happy that you and Mary are back together. I was hoping that’s what it meant when her FB status changed.

Hi Brian! I would just like to say that I love your books! I got introduced to them by my husband while he was on deployment with the Army(he needed some books to read and found City of the Dead there in Afganistan). Since he’s been back, we’ve bought every paperback of yours that we could find, all except The Rising, which my husband Michael is desperate to find and add to the collection. I have not found Ghoul yet either but can’t freaking wait to read it!! We are stationed in Alaska, and I think that’s part of the reason for our limited means of finding your books. Anyway, hope you have fun at the premiere, I know it will be awesome!!!
