Got home from New Hampshire last night. Spending time with my toddler for three days. Heading for Portland, Oregon this Thursday until next Monday, attending BizarroCon. Stop by if you’re in the area.
There are still copies of Is There A Demon In You available for purchase. This new anthology, which features a novella by me (starring Levi from A Gathering of Crows and Ghost Walk) is shipping now, and makes a wonderful holiday present. It also features novellas by Wrath James White, Mary SanGiovanni, and Nate Southard. You can pay via PayPal, credit card, check or money order. Overseas orders are also welcome. Click here to order.
The new Deadite Press trade paperback editions of Ghoul, Dark Hollow, and The Cage should go on sale in the next week or two.
Author Kelli Owen, who is sleeping on my couch for a little while, secretly snapped this pic of what I do with my toddler’s plastic Army men in my off hours, and then Tweeted it.
And this is why I have now banned Kelli from sleeping on my couch and consigned her to the laundry room, right between the litter box and the washing machine…

Yeah, but I thought the litter box was for Kelli. How is that a punishment?
After reading your commit about spending time with the kiddo, got me to thinking. Is there any chance you would be willing to write something in the vain of Brother Grimm but from your POV? Oh and I found a tatered copy of Dark Hollow at the MWR here at Al Asad, prob not the best to read while on deployment and missing the wife but still that was a great book.
Tim: Maybe one of these days. And thanks for your service!
Litter box? Somehow I missed you posting before about you having a cat. Or, rather, a cat letting you live with them. Knowing you have a cat there to guard you out in the wilderness is kind of awesome.
Still can’t believe I’m going to miss ya at BizarroCon. Its just down the street so to speak, and totally had plans to stop in and say hey, talk zombies(like you are totally not sick of doing that yet, right?), see what else you might have on the horizon, and just chat you up. Been following your work since about the release of City of the Dead, and have loved it all. Aside from the zombie stuff, Urban Gothic is one of my faves. Hope you and Mary all the best, hope you get enough time to hang with your boys, and continued health to you. I will keep checking back, so maybe I can catch up to you at a show, or convention next year, as I know this is your last stop for this one. Might run into you at the airport on your way out of town, as I work for TSA at PDX, so I will keep my eyes peeled for you, and I will say hi. Keep writing, and keep stickin it to the man(Dorchestor). !HAIL SATEN!
Psyched to see that Ghoul is now available. You have no idea how many people are coming to borrow my copy. Now I have something to get people for Christmas. Is Kelli doing laundry while she’s in there, or will the suggestion be meet with swift and merciless violence?
Just finished ‘The Withering Tree.’ Awesome story!! Loved the setup for one, if not many, potential sequels
Brian, can I correctly assume that Fast Zombies Suck will also be included in one of your future collections?
