Doom Patrol #16 is out today in comic shops everywhere. It has cannibalism and all sorts of other things you normally don’t see in a mainstream superhero comic. Keith Giffen and I co-plotted it. He drew it. I wrote the dialogue. Al Milgrom inked it. You should buy it. You should buy two copies, in fact. Even if you’ve never heard of the Doom Patrol or think comic books are things read by children, buy three copies. Leisure is a smoking crater. Book publishing is in disarray. The horror genre is in another downturn comparable to the late-80′s. Comic books are an escape route. Buy four copies, so that they’ll let me write more of them. Don’t have a comic shop near you? Then click here to order it online. Buy five copies.
(And while you’re in the comic shop, pick up a copy of the DCU Halloween Special, too, which features my Superman and The Demon team-up…)
