From issue #208 of Wizard Magazine, page 13:
PALADIN
C’mon, if Devil Slayer can make a MAX face-lift work, imagine the possibilities this purple-clad gun for hire poses: With no background to speak of, Brian Keene can give birth to a “Bourne”-style origin story that explains who’s behind the mask, how a deadly gunman gained superpowers, and what led him to cross paths with the Marvel elite.
You’re god-damned right I could. And if the editors at Wizard are reading this, I’m sending you guys a box of Castaways as thanks for the props. Do this every month until Marvel makes it happen!
If you’ve got an extra $5.99, pick up a copy of Wizard #208. It has Hugh Jackman pretending to be Wolverine on the cover.

Hugh Jackman Pretending being the OPERATIVE word.
Also, if you have not read Devil Slayer, your missing out.
Hey Brian, how about some props…i broke this news 2 weeks ago. i can send you my adress so you can send me a box of castaways, too.ha ha ha… hope to meet you at your next signing in richmond, va.I needs to gets my devil slayers signed!!!
Everyone give Jason Folkes a big round of applause for first bringing the article to my attention. :>)
Skip — I thought Jackman was very good as Wolverine, but you know who I always thought would have made an interesting choice? Glen Danzig.
have to back skip on the Devil Slayer comment…Best mini series of 2008. one of the only titles i felt i got my moneys worth…
I could see Danzig…he fits more to wolverines build and voice(and it would be hilarious to see wolverine sing “mother”)…just so glad they didn’t get that douche bag russle crow
Fuck yeah! Brian is getting more exposure! And Brian, when I bought Castaways at walmart today, you had two whole spots for it ! You usually only have one, but Ghost Walk sold real quick when they had it. The F.U.K.U. grows commander!
Danzig would have been an Awesome Wolverine. Jackman is ok but after his attempt at Helsing? C’mon… Besides, he just can’t say “Bub” right.
Take it away Clarence… Boss Time.
